Sketching at the pool
As anyone who follows me on social media will already know, these days I’m in Italy. The temperatures this year are so high that yesterday in Genoa they touched 38 degrees; so, to escape the heat we decided to go to the pool in the hinterland where, at least in theory, the temperatures would have been less extreme. I don’t know if it was actually true, since we reached 35 degrees anyway, but I spent a Sunday relaxing outdoors and I also drew some of the people around us. I wanted to do more, but the heat made us leave the pool and go home.
(I don’t know why the scans of the sketchbook seem to be low definition: I’m afraid I did something wrong with the scanner settings. As soon as I can I will scan them again.)
Come chi mi segue sui canali social saprà già, in questi giorni sono in Italia. Le temperature quest’anno sono talmente alte che ieri a Genova si sono toccati i 38 gradi; così, per sfuggire alla calura abbiamo deciso di andare in piscina nell’entroterra dove, almeno in teoria, le temperature sarebbero state meno estreme. Non saprei dire se poi sia stato effettivamente così, dato che comunque abbiamo raggiunto i 35 gradi, però ho passato una domenica di relax all’aperto e ho anche disegnato qualcuna delle persone intorno a noi. Avrei voluto fare di più, però il calore ci ha spinte a lasciare la piscina e a tornare a casa.
(Non so per quale motivo le scansioni del taccuino sono a bassa definizione: temo di aver sbagliato qualcosa nelle impostazioni dello scanner che ho in Italia. Appena riesco le scansiono nuovamente.)
