Short and fast fashion poses from Drawing Cabaret Couture

The holidays are approaching and I am very tired after weeks of working over the weekend and also a second heatwave that hit Belfast. Last night as a result I had very little energy left to draw at the weekly Drawing Cabaret Couture session, but I braced myself and got my iPad on. I wasn’t able to work for the whole session, but I really appreciated the short dynamic poses that Ami Benton, exceptional (and surprise) model for the evening, gave us. I worked digitally focusing mainly on the sinuous and slightly angular lines of Ami’s poses, then adding a little colour. Then I used the 3 and 5 minute poses and animated them by sequencing them. The garments for the session are by fashion designer Rina Hayashi.

Le ferie si avvicinano e io sono stanchissima dopo settimane passate a lavorare anche il weekend e una seconda heatwave che ha colpito anche Belfast. Ieri sera di conseguenza avevo davvero pochissime energie per disegnare alla sessione settimanale di Drawing Cabaret Couture, ma mi sono fatta forza e ho accesso l’iPad. Non sono riuscita a disegnare per tutta la sessione, ma ho apprezzato molto le pose brevi dinamiche che Ami Benton, modella d’eccezione (e a sorpresa) per la serata ci ha regalato. Ho lavorato in digitale concentrandomi soprattutto sulle linee sinuose e un po’ spigolose delle pose di Ami, aggiungendo poi un po’ di colore. Poi ho usato le pose di 3 e 5 minuti e le ho animate mettendole in sequenza. Gli abiti della sessione sono della fashion designer Rina Hayashi.
