Drawing Cabaret Couture: drawing from reference

After the crazy month of February, where in addition to the normal sessions there was the full immersion for London Fashion Week 2022, we all took a week off as March has five Thursdays. This weekend was therefore the right time to choose a reference image among the many present on Patreon and work on it at my pace. This is part of the Sól Hansdóttir session that I missed in January, I worked from an editorial image by photographer Erica Von Stein. This is a gouache illustration on paper and digital drawing.

Dopo il mese un po’ folle di febbraio, che oltre alle sessioni normali ha visto la full immersion per la London Fashion Week 2022, ci siamo presi tutti una settimana di pausa dato che marzo ha cinque giovedì. Questo weekend è stato quindi il momento giusto per scegliere un’immagine di referenza tra le tante presenti su Patreon e lavorarci un po’ su. Questa fa parte della sessione con abiti di Sól Hansdóttir che avevo perso a gennaio, ho lavorato da un’immagine editoriale della fotografa Erica Von Stein. Si tratta di un’illustrazione a gouache su carta e disegno digitale.
