Another portrait of Courtney, this time stitching

Yesterday I went back to the weekly portrait sessions and painted Courtney again. I’m not very happy with the result because I would have needed a bigger canvas: working in A3 makes the faces too small to render the details in a painterly way, and the style ends up becoming too illustration-like. Anyway this is the result:

Ieri sono tornata alle sessioni di ritratto settimanali e ho dipinto nuovamente Courtney. Non sono molto soddisfatta del risultato perché avrei avuto bisogno di una tela più grande: lavorare in A3 rende i volti troppo piccoli per rendere i dettagli al meglio in maniera pittorica, e lo stile finisce per diventare troppo simile a un’illustrazione.
